Ameraucana Chickens

The festive and lively Ameraucana Chicken, also known as the Ameraucana is very popular for its distinctive appearance, and its unique eggs which are colored bright blue, green, turquoise, and deep olive. Many people refer to the Ameraucana Chickenas the “Easter Egg Breed” because the eggs look as if they have been dyed the bright pastel hues of Easter.

Also, Ameraucana Chickens have exciting appearances, from the chick stage all the way through maturity. They have beards around their beaks and muffs on their heads, making them one of the most distinctive breeds of chickens available. These facial features give them an appearance similar to a chipmunk.

Ameraucana Chickens are normally bred to be excellent egg layers. In addition to substantial egg production, their hardiness and robustness allows them to be quite adaptable to a wide variety of environments.
